Jack Zulack focuses his practice on defense of banks and other global financial institutions. This practice includes advocacy, particularly cross-border, and complex litigation, as well as counseling such institutional clients on complex and sensitive matters. For the past 30 years, Mr. Zulack has represented European banks in cross-border lawsuits, and has also represented numerous European manufacturing companies in dispute resolution proceedings. Mr. Zulack has served as lead counsel on numerous cross-border litigations on behalf of Swiss, French, Luxembourg and UK clients, and has also counseled prominent institutional clients in Austria, Germany and Italy on complex, international matters.
Mr. Zulack received Fulbright, Ford and CRB scholarships after law school to study European institutions in Brussels and at the Hague. He has traveled on business over 100 times to Switzerland and France and has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the culture of both counties as well as of other European countries.
A related part of Mr. Zulack’s practice is serving as conflict counsel on matters referred by large New York law firms. As major law firms have increased in size, they find themselves frequently in conflict situations. These law firms see in him a lawyer who can provide their clients with outstanding legal services and who understands that he is retained to represent the client only in the conflicted matter.
Mr. Zulack’s extensive experience has enabled him to serve his client’s legal needs in a practical, commercially sensitive and effective manner.
Mr. Zulack is fluent in French. He has been active in bar association work throughout his career. He serves on the Executive Committee of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association. He is a former Chair of the International Section.
