Kevin L. MacMillan

Kevin MacMillan is a partner of the Firm.  His versatility as a counselor and advocate has enabled him to achieve excellent results for clients in a range of sensitive and substantial corporate, commercial and transactional matters, as well as in commercial litigation.

Mr. MacMillan represents clients in connection with contract, transactional and corporate governance matters, including stock and asset purchases and sales, including both the equity and debt side of private equity transactions, leases, trusts, not-for-profit organizations, employment agreements, and intellectual property, helping to formulate strategic solutions for clients that minimize the risk of legal exposure in a cost effective manner. Mr. MacMillan's extensive practice in publishing and entertainment law includes his representation of such clients as a New York Times bestselling novelist and an award-winning documentary filmmaker, and others in domestic and international publishing and licensing transactions.

Mr. MacMillan has also been involved in litigations and arbitrations involving many substantive areas of law, including corporate and partnership control, corporate fiduciary duties, the fiduciary duties of investment advisors, securities disclosure, employment, intellectual property, employment law, and contracts, in federal and state courts and before various administrative and regulatory tribunals.

Prior to joining the Firm as an associate, Mr. MacMillan was an associate in the Capital Markets Group of Shearman & Sterling’s London Office.

Mr. MacMillan is fluent in Spanish.
